If you do not want the shadow of your window to appear on your screenshot, long press the option key as you click. Select the menu or window to capture it by clicking on either.The pointer will transition to a camera icon. Long press Space bar, 4, Shift and Command.First, display the menu or window you wish to capture.Click on the thumbnail at the corner of your window to take the screenshot or wait for it to automatically save to your desktop as a PNG file.To capture the screenshot, gently release your mouse.Use the Escape key to opt out of the process.
